When it comes to general fitness, overall conditioning and weight loss, not many workout routines can compare to what Pete Foley and his wife, Clodagh can offer at their state-of-the-art Martial Arts & Fitness Centre in the Riverside Commercial Estate on the Tuam Road in Galway, over Expert Electric.
Pete, a 7th Dan Black Belt Master and Galway Bay FM’s overall Sports Coach of the Year winner, is a former Irish, British and International Karate and Kickboxing Champion, a certified personal trainer, gym instructor, kettlebells instructor, IABA certified boxing coach, first aider, Garda Vetting Officer for IKF Ireland and trainer of a multitude of World champions.
Clodagh, a 3rd Dan Black Belt and former Irish and European Kickboxing Champion, is also a certified personal trainer, gym instructor, kettlebells instructor, IABA certified boxing coach, sports nutritional advisor and clinical sports advisor.
The pair are now offering morning workout classes with a difference and participants can expect to experience super stretching and conditioning, medicine ball drills, monkey bar drills, bag work, pad work, skipping, battle ropes, plyometric drills, agility ladders, kettlebells, slam balls, ringcraft if desired and much, much more.
The classes are ideal for those who may find it difficult to make evening sessions. Tuesday mornings are for ladies only and Wednesday and Friday mornings are for ladies and gents and all three classes start at 10am and last for about an hour. As they are drop in, pay-as-you-go sessions, there is no big commitment of time or money.
The gym, an impressive 4,500 square feet, is fully decked out to maximise your workout in comfort and safety and has lots of free parking outside.
Regardless of whether you are a hard core runner, a professional fighter or just looking to get fit for the beach or even just drop a few pounds, Pete and Clodagh can help.
The centre also offers personal one-to-one classes by appointment.
