Alt-folk quartet Tupelo has just released its second album, ‘Push On’, and it is already garnering rave reviews.
Voted the best folk act in Ireland in the Hot Press readers’ poll 2013, Tupelo’s mix of folk, trad, bluegrass, country and blues has won them a dedicated following in Ireland and beyond.
The Sunday Times has praised their “authentic Western swagger”, and with their sound running the gamut from foot-stomping hoe-downs to epic indie-folk sing-alongs, they are a fearsome live prospect to boot.
If you are one of the few country fans who was lucky enough to miss out on a Garth Brooks ticket or just want a good night out with lively, entertaining tunes, Tupelo is for you.
Tupelo plays Monroe’s Live this Saturday, 1 March, at 9.30pm. Tickets, priced €10, are available now on www.monroes.ie.
