Here are three current roles available through Volunteer Galway that you can get involved in:
Croí Event Assistants (Sunday 4 June)
Croí are holding their annual Tour de Lough Corrib cycle and need volunteers across the day for a variety of tasks including registration, catering and welcoming home. This is a fun sociable day for all who get involved and no specific skills are required, just a willingness to give a helping hand and join in the fun.
Traidphicnic Festival Volunteers (30 June – 2 July)
Traidphicnic, a festival of traditional music, arts and culture would like to welcome everyone from all over the world to Spiddal for the 2017 festival which takes place 30 June to 2 July.
To make it a success this year volunteers are being recruited as stewards, safety officers, litter control personnel, car park attendants, first aid personnel, face painters and fundraisers to help with selling t-shirts and bucket collections.
Volunteers are not expected to do all tasks, but if you have any of the above skills and time to spare, you can join in and experience a great festival.
Assistant Festival Administrator with Galway Fringe Festival
The Galway Fringe Festival is a multidisciplinary Arts Festival encompassing visual art, music, theatre, dance, literature, cabaret and events.
The role of assistant festival administrator involves taking calls, liaising with artists and general office duties. This is a great opportunity to develop your office skills in a busy environment. Four hours a week is required, induction and training will be given to the volunteer.
