Galway United face a crucial game on Friday when Longford Town visit Terryland Park (kick-off 7.45pm). Longford currently occupy bottom spot in the Premier Division while United are only six points ahead of the midlanders.

Tony Cousins can recall on four of his senior squad that missed out last Friday. Stephen O'Flynn, Derek O'Brien, John Lester and Wes Charles are all available again after suspension. Daryl Robson had an ankle knock that forced him out last Friday but he may feature this Friday. Regi Nooitmeer is out through suspension having been sent off against St Pat's.

Cousins remained upbeat despite the loss to St Pat's and says his side will be fired up for this clash against Longford.

"I thought we played well and did not deserve to lose. I could not ask the lads for anything more. They gave everything on the night and I cannot fault them for their work rate.

"It is disappointing to lose out by the odd goal as we matched them all the way. However, if you do not take your chances at this level of football you will get punished."

The last time Longford visited Terryland they took advantage of United's profligacy and defensive generosity to claim a point. United missed an injury time penalty and the game ended 1-1 back in April.

United are desperately in a need a win after some disappointing results of late and Tony Cousins' side will have to perform at their best. "We will be up for this and we are looking forward to it. We have several players back and we will be going for it. This is a game we really want to win," Cousins said.
