With the home-victory monkey firmly off their backs, Galway United travel to The Showgrounds on Saturday night (8pm) brimming with confidence for their crunch Connacht derby with Sligo Rovers.

United will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten run to six games next weekend and will hope to built on the significant momentum gathered.

Jeff Kenna will be forced to change his winning side, however, as Jonathon Keane will sit out the tie after picking up a red card against Cork.

His place is expected to be filled by either Alan Murphy or Iarflaith Davoren.

Paul Cook's side go into the match on the back of an away draw in Derry and have shown some excellent performances so far this season.

With their position in mid-table secured, Cook will be anxious to avoid a lapse in effort. Rovers would love nothing more than to dent United's survival chances the lapse is likely to be put on hold for another week.
