![]() Jeff Kenna. Galway United will make the long trip north to take on Derry City at the Brandywell this Friday evening with a 7.45pm kick-off. After a week of tough training, Jeff Kenna will hope for a performance similar to the one his new players produced in the second half against Bray last weekend, when a brave United fight-back almost registered a first home point of the season. Kenna is likely to rely on youth because of injuries and possible suspensions but will take encouragement from the way his side responded to falling two goals behind. Derry find themselves third in the league, but their form of late has been erratic. Their first defeat of the campaign in Bray was followed last weekend by an improved performance but more dropped points in an away draw with Bohemians. However, a trip to the Brandywell can be perilous at the best of times and United will certainly be up against it come Friday night. But if defensive naivety can be avoided, Kenna will have high hopes of registering the first points of his tenure. |
