This promises to be one of the most competitive league campaigns ever with three of the twelve teams to be relegated at the end of the season.

And with Cork City, Bohemians and St Pat's spending heavily in a bid to oust title winners Drogheda United, there shouldn't be any lack of action during the campaign.

Cousins, who has strengthened his squad during the close season with several signings, says that his players cannot wait for the campaign to get under way.

"We're really looking forward to the game, the lads have had a hard pre-season and to be honest it doesn't get bigger than playing Bohemians at home.

"We want a full house and want everyone to get behind us as we look to get a good start to this campaign," said Cousins.

Galway United are urging fans to purchase tickets early for the opening match of the campaign as a huge crowd is expected.

Tickets will be on sale at the gate but to avoid disruption supporters are urged to purchase early. Tickets went on sale yesterday from Zhivago Records and from the Galway United Office at Terryland Park. Season tickets are on sale at both outlets and are selling fast with seats in the new Corribside Stand at a premium.

United wrapped up their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 win over Athlone Town when Mark Leech, one of the new signings, nabbed the winner to continue his impressive goalscoring form in the pre-season campaign.

minded, he also could do with skilful and defensive minded personell who can read and change the game, and also for Tony I truly think he should decide what formation the team will adopt , I will go for 442 and switch to 433 instead for the funny 352 or the latter, put it this way you can only attack with one player on the ball while the other players will running into space so with 4 defenders and 1 anchor midfielder you can hold your ground and counter attack. Well I Tony and the boys a splendid season.
