Fans of Gaelic football and hurling can look forward to a real treat this championship season with the announcement that the Racing Post will publish a special Gaelic games supplement with the paper each Saturday.

Legends of the games Colm O'Rourke and Nicky English will be among the expert contributors to GOALPOST, which launches on Saturday next, May 10th, and promises an exciting summer of unique GAA coverage.

The 16-page supplement will take a punter's eye view of all the big hurling and football matches throughout this summer, and analyse form with a thoroughness never before seen in the GAA. GOALPOST will be edited by award-winning journalist and broadcaster Liam Horan, and will be distributed free with the Racing Post every Saturday of the championship season.

Horan believes the publication will bring something different to supporters and punters.

"Our approach will be similar to how the Racing Post analyse other sports – we will look at real form, not just perceptions, and we will bring a factual element to what we do. We aim to make it essential reading for anyone who is having a flutter on Gaelic games this summer."
