One team of hurling-mad youngsters will get a unique opportunity to win a training session with Galway manager Ger Loughnane and a selection of his players, thanks to a new Supermacs competition.

To celebrate another year of its sponsorship deal with the Galway hurlers, Supermacs will give the special prize to a young team drawn from the Galway primary schools, under-14 hurling clubs or first year secondary school students.

Supermacs Managing Director Pat McDonagh believes the winning team will have a great opportunity to gain an insight into the level of preparation that goes into training a team at the highest level. "Ger Loughnane has years of experience training teams so a lot can be learned from him during the training session," said Mr McDonagh.

The winning team will also be awarded €1,000 worth of Cooper training equipment, with the runner-up getting €500 worth of equipment and the third placed team €250.

To enter, the applicant must tell Supermacs in no more than 100 words why their team should win the prize.

Entry forms are available in any Galway Supermacs outlet and should be returned to Supermacs GAA Promotion, Ballybrit Business Park, Ballybrit, Galway.
