Admission is €5, which includes DJ, complimentary finger food and bar extension up to 2.00am. The GUST Nightowls and GUST LFC Player of the Year awards will also be held on the night. Tickets for SRO will be on sale at Friday nights game in Terryland Park. This weeks GUST Lotto draw will be held in Foxes Bar, Forster Street on Sunday night, for a jackpot of €3,100. Annual subscriptions to the GUST Lotto are on sale at €80. Subscription forms are available on-line at www.galwayunitedfc.ie. Polo shirts are on sale at €20 from Galway Sports Shop, Galway Shopping Centre. GUST invite all supporters of Galway United and Derry City to Foxes Bar for a pre-match reception before Friday evenings Premier Division game. The Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club were in Tallaght with some fighters at the weekend and came away with two wins and a draw. Paul Huish scored an impressive knockout win over Liam McCormack from Thurles in the third round. Huish is part of a seven-man team to take on Norway in an international kickboxing promotion at the Salthill Hotel on Sunday November 11. Avril O'Connor from Ballinahown was one of the Irish WorldSkills team to get some advice on competing under pressure at Croke Park this week from a panel of Ireland's leading GAA personalities. Avril will compete in the confectionery/ pastry cook discipline at next month's International WorldSkills competition in Japan which will attract entries from 49 countries. The Irish team is made up of the top 26 apprentices, technicians and third level students in 25 skill/ trade designations. Kilkenny hurler and All-Ireland medal winner, Martin Comerford, ex-Meath footballer, Mark O'Reilly, both GAA All Stars and Monaghan footballer, Paul Finlay, gave an insight into how each prepares mentally and physically for big matches. Formerly known as the "Skill Olympics", WorldSkills has been taking place for over 50 years and has come to symbolise the pinnacle of excellence in vocational education and training. |
