The popular Galway Schools Soccer and Gaelic Football Academy returns this Summer with a choice for kids of three different coaching weeks. Two academies will be held in St Marys College, Galway – the first from Monday June 30th to Friday July 4th and the second the following week from July 7-11th. There will also be a week of action hosted in Oranmore from July 14-18th. Each course is spearheaded by secondary school coaches Sean Og de Paor, Martin Horgan and Robert Grealish and is aimed at boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 13. Activities last from 9am to 1pm daily. Since its inception in 2001, the unusual mix of soccer and Gaelic football has proven extremely popularity with the youngsters attending. As well as the top-class coaching by sporting stars; goodies, prizes, and lots of fun make the academy week extremely enjoyable for participants.
