The final leg of the Fahy Trailers Connacht Grand Prix league takes place this weekend at the Claregalway equestrian centre in Rockwood on Sunday.

Carl Hanley is currently leading the league having won in Claremorris, Ballina and Loughrea. With a strong team of horses behind him Hanley is always a force to be reckoned with in this league. He was crowned champion last year and is on his way to be crowned again this year.

Damian Griffin is lying second having won in Riverview and was placed in Galway, Tubber and Ballina. His Lissyegan Clover Diamond, is a horse who is not new to jumping big fences having won the Puissance at the Northern Ireland International Horse Show with Shane Breen and was placed with the same rider at the RDS Puissance.

Third in the league is the Young Rider Thomas O'Brien who won at both Headford and Galway. O'Brien was a winner of a leg of the Spring Grand Prix league and is always one to be feared in these Grand Prix.

With €3,000 on offer for the Grand Prix this will be a very competitive class with so much to play for in the league, where the winner receives the prize of a 4x4 quad.

The placings at the top of the table are still very close and with such a lucrative prize on offer this will be a very hotly contested class.
