Galway manager Liam Sammon says that Sunday's crucial league clash against Mayo in Castlebar will be another big test for his side.

He said that Mayo would not lack confidence after their win over Kildare.

"They also defeated Kerry and will need to win this match every bit as much as us. It will be another big test," he said.

The Galway manager said that the return from injury of players such as Nicky Joyce and Michael Comer gave plenty of options, with centre-back Diarmuid Blake the only one on the casualty list at this stage.

"We have Kerry after Mayo and we really need to win both of them. But for now all attention will be on Castlebar on Sunday," added the Galway boss.
