Moycullen captured the county intermediate football crown with a 1-11 to 1-9 win over Monivea-Abbey at Pearse Stadium on Saturday.

It was the first of a double defeat for Monivea-Abbey as they also went down to St James in the minor A decider the following day.

Spiddal turned on the style against the wind in the opening half on their way to a 2-12 to 1-4 win over Headford in the minor B final.

Tommie Larkins won their second intermediate hurling crown in three years when they defeated Padraig Pearses by 0-13 to 0-10.

But there was compensation for Pearses when they defeated Portumna by 1-11 to 1-8 in the minor B decider.
