Champion kickboxer Cathal "Mean Machine" Manning is stepping up the preparations for his European title fight at the Black Box on Saturday May 24th - where he will face the National Champion of Moldova who fights under the name of "Damascus".

Damascus has a good deal more experience than Manning, with over 40 fights to his credit including 17 knockouts, but after his exciting win in the Black Box in February when he stopped Kilkenny man Myles Price in a full K-1 rules contest, Manning is quietly confident of another victory.

The Moldovan fighter was named by the International Kickboxing Federation as the No. 1 contender to face Manning and this should be a classic battle of youth and experience.

With ten support bouts including four more title fights in store, there should be another full-house in the Black Box.
