Galway United CEO Nick Leeson believes ticket sales to date show a positive trend. "We are very happy with the interest in season tickets, particularly in the build-up to Christmas. "Negotiations are ongoing with a number of high-profile premiership clubs to arrange friendly matches both pre-season and during race week. "I would like to think that we will see at least two Premiership clubs in Galway during 2008. The only way to guarantee access to these matches will be with a Galway United season ticket," he said. One of the benefits of becoming a season ticket holder is receiving priority access to tickets for high profile matches along with getting full access to Galway United's eircom League of Ireland matches for the 2008 season. "A lot of people were disappointed last year when unable to see Roy Keane and Sunderland play at Terryland and we expect demand again to be very high for these matches," he added. Galway United season tickets are currently on sale in Zhivago Records, Shop Street and from the Galway United Office in Terryland Park on 091-767336. Adult Season Tickets cost €250, Concession (O.A.P., Students & Juveniles 12-16yr) - €120, Family (2 Adults & 2 Juveniles 12-16yr) - €500 and Terryland Tigers U-12's cost €40. Meanwhile, the 2008 Galway United Black and White Ball kicks off on Saturday, February 23rd at the Radisson SAS Hotel and in its third year running promises to be another brilliant night out. The Black & White Ball is one of the biggest sporting nights of the year and has become one of the main social events on the calendar. Entertainment will include Barry Murphy, one of the stars of "Apres Match" and a number of surprises are being promised throughout the night. The Galway United players will be attending, including all of Tony Cousins' new signings. Galway United will once again take the opportunity to acknowledge members of the soccer and sporting fraternity in the 4-4-2 awards which this year will tie into the recently launched Galway United Legends. There will also be an auction of unique sporting items on the night, details of both this and the awards will be announced closer to the date. Tickets cost €150. Table of 10 for €1,500.
