In its ongoing bid to attract the best players from Connacht to the club, Galway United will hold trials for its under-20 team in July.

The club's aim is to see as many players as possible progress to playing League of Ireland football with United and from last year's squad, Jason Molly ,Seamus Conneely, Paul Sinnott ,Cian McBrin & Stephen Cunningham have gone on to play with the first team this season.

Last year's side reached the semi-finals of both league and cup and will also play in the final of the Connacht Senior Cup.

Cian McBrin has also played for the Ireland u-21 Futsal team in the European Championships in Andora, while Jason Molly & Cathal Fahy have played with the Irish Colleges team in the USA and Seamus Conneely has played for the Irish Universities team.
