West Coast Wheelers riders have been busy over the past few weeks as the road racing season in Ireland draws to a close.

ImageBrian and James O’Donnell, Ruaidhrí Geraghty and Kama Rowse all contested the Adare two-day event last weekend, where the riders faced some tough racing.

Rowse had another good weekend’s racing at the International Women’s three-day race, the Rás na mBan, where she rode strongly as a member of the Swords CC team, and Geraghty represented the club at the National B Championships in Monaghan.

Finally, Áine Hughes and Sadhbh Baxter completed a 800km cycle over six days with the National Council for the Blind’s Blazing Saddles team, riding stages of the Giro d’Italia, and raising over €7,000 for the charity in the process.

Back in Galway, the Sunday morning spins leave from the Cathedral at 9am – all details available on www.westcoastwheelers.com for the latest news.
