Galway United 3 Galway United's u21 side staged a remarkable comeback to run out 3-2 winners over Salthill Devon in Drom on Saturday. United were trailing by two goals in the second half before they produced a stunning finish to take all three points. Salthill Devon took the lead on 22 minutes when Sean Murphy drilled home a penalty for the lead goal. Devon went 2-0 up on 61 minutes after a cross by Eugene Greaney was finished superbly by Mikey Gilmore. But Billy Clery's United were back in the contest two minutes later when sub Ronan O'Boyle sent an exquisite lob over Ireland u17 international 'keeper Ger Hanley. O'Boyle was again involved for the equaliser on 70 minutes when he crossed for Keith Ward to goalwards only for Hanley to expertly save ? but Cathal Fahy was on hand to tap home. United's secured victory on 80 minutes when O'Boyle got his second from a corner by Ward. Next up for United is a home game in Terryland against Finn Harps on Saturday (2pm).
