Sean Cronin became the third Connacht player to make their Irish debut this year when he was introduced in the second-half against Fiji in the RDS last Saturday. ![]() Cronin replaced former Connacht player Jerry Flannery with ten minutes remaining and impressed with both his lineout accuracy and scrummaging. Cronin, who is in his second season with Connacht, was one of three to make their debuts on Saturday along with Jonathan Sexton and Sean O'Brien. Meanwhile, Connacht supporters have been urged to move quickly if they wish to secure a ticket for the Magners League clash against Leinster at the Sportsground on 2 January. It looks likely that the visit of the Heineken Cup champions will trigger a sell-out and a limited number of tickets for the enclosed stand are still available on a first-come basis from www.ticketmaster.ie The clash with the European champions on Saturday, January 2 (kick-off) will be the first of three home matches for Michael Bradley's men at the outset of 2010. Newport Gwent Dragons will visit the Sportsground the following Friday evening, 8 January, for a vital Magners League match and the following weekend 15 January, Connacht host French side Montpellier as they bid to secure their place at the top of their pool in the Amlin Challenge Cup. |
