Galway United boss Tony Cousins says that Friday's game away to Bohemians in Dalymount Park is another cup final for his men as they bid to secure the club's top flight status. ![]() He was proud the way his side retained their composure after falling behind to Longford on Friday night. "The lads played well and I felt we deserved the win. After going a goal down we did not panic as there was still a long way to go in the game. "When we equalised we created plenty of chances and took one of those chances that turned out to be the winning goal. "I have to give credit to John Lester and John Fitzgerald at the back. Both players were struck down with illness before the game and after the game both were completely exhausted," Cousins said. Next up for United is a trip to Dalymount for a difficult clash with an inform Bohemians. United got a draw in Dalymount early on in the season with Alan Murphy scoring for United only for Bohs to get a late equaliser and the United manager knows that this will be a tough fixture. "This is another hard game and hopefully we can get something from it. We will go there with a near full strength squad and hopefully we can come away with something. "As I said before every game is a cup final for us and we will be ready for it," said the United manager. |
