Corcoran set to make fist of Irish boxing championships E-mail

Pat Corcoran will be representing Galway Boxing Club in the forthcoming Irish senior boxing championships, which will be held in the National Boxing Stadium in Dublin in February. Corcoran is a young and dedicated boxer and to date he has captured a Four Nations gold medal, national youth champion, national intermediate champion, Galway Sports Star award, national U-21 champion 2007, runner-up for senior box-off for Olympic trials, national U-21 champion 2008 and Galway Bay FM Sports Star 2008.

Last season the club won two national U-21 boxing titles. This season, Corcoran has won for the second time, the under 21 boxing title and will be eligible next season to compete in this same competition.

Corcoran is trained by Patrick Corcoran senior and Gay Farrell.
