Connacht will hope that injured players such as Mike Roberts, Mike Swift and Danny Riordan will be available for their trip to play Cardiff Blues on Friday.

Connacht have not won at the Arms Park since the opening day of the Celtic League seven years ago but they will be boosted by last week's success over Glasgow.

Connacht will not lack incentive as Cardiff, defeated by Munster at the weekend, did the double over them last season.

Meanwhile, the Connacht U-19 side scored a fine 21-15 win over Ulster on Saturday with Karl Egan, Eoin Griffin and Colin getting in for tries.

The Connacht U-18 side scored a 16-14 win over Ulster but the U-20 side fell to their second defeat when they losy 17-15 to Ulster despite two tries from Joe Moran.
