Moycullen 2-9
Fingal Ravens (Dublin) 1-6

Conor Bohan ensured himself a memorable chapter in Moycullen's history books with two wonderful late goals that swung a tense All-Ireland Intermediate final away from Fingal Rangers in Croke Park on Sunday.

And in a remarkable sporting achievement for the Lydon family, all four brothers played their part in securing Moycullen's first ever taste of All-Ireland glory.

Despite dominating for long stretches of the game, Moycullen's profligacy in front of goal had left them trailing by a point with just 15 minutes left on clock, Stephen Madigan grabbing the goal that edged the Dubliners in front.

Enter Bohan with a moment of individual brilliance that would have graced any headquarters final, neatly eluding his marker before arrowing powerfully into the roof of the Ravens net.

Team captain Gearóid Clancy stretched the advantage to three points but Fingal Ravens refused to throw in the towel, laying siege to the Moycullen goal in search of the goal that would save them. Instead it was Bohan again who sealed the title in the dying minutes, linking superbly with Paul and Gearóid Clancy before slotting the clincher.

The travelling Moycullen hoards deliriously celebrated a tremendous team effort with Paul Clancy again a rock at centre back and Barry Conneely mopping up efficiently behind him.

Tomás Higgins chipped in with two well-taken points from play, while all three Lydon starters scored, with brother Henry joining the party in injury time.
