The ‘Spooktacular’ Galway Abooo Halloween Festival returns to the city this October Bank Holiday weekend.
The festival kicks off on Friday, 26 October with a show created for Galway Abooo called ‘The Dead Arise’, which is devised by Rod Goodall.
On Saturday night, the ‘Spooktacular Street Parade’ takes place, in association with the award winning LUXe Street Theatre Company, who will transform the streets of the Latin Quarter into an illuminated feast of exotic sculpture, wild music and spectacular feats. They will defy gravity, spin fire and ignite the imagination with light, sound, movement and shadow.
Then on Sunday afternoon, the kids can get dressed up and come to The Latin Quarter for a fun-filled family day, including a Trick or Treat Trail, Babcock and Bobbins, Kids Fancy Dress Disco and a Michael Jackson Thriller Dance performance.
Later that night it is the adults’ turn to get dressed up, as many of the pubs and venues are hosting fancy dress parties.
