As part of an ongoing effort to improve the matchday experience of its fans, Galway United has announced the installation of a high-tech new ticketing system at Terryland Park.

It was an historic weekend for Connacht hockey as the Girls' U-16 team claimed the province's first ever interprovincials underage title in front of a delighted home crowd at the Dangan Hockey grounds in Galway on Sunday.

Jimmy Kelly the jovial past president of Galway United was laid to rest last week. He was dead on Tuesday morning (27th November) when Bernie called him for the cup of tea at minute to nine. A popular President of Galway United, he had that easy personal way with him that he used to good effect in Corbetts for his tenure of forty years, six months and five days. Sunny Jim. He was a past goalkeeping stalwart of Galway Rovers and Erins Hope and a founder member of St.Anthony's Club Newcastle. People like Jimmy Kelly are a huge asset to Galway and particularly to sport in Galway.
