Former Formula 1 driver Eddie Irvine's new football club are the latest entrants in the this year's Umbro Galway Cup.

The dates and venues have been confirmed for the Centra-sponsored Try Rugby Camps taking place all over Connacht this summer. The camps cater for boys and girls aged 6-13 and children will learn rugby skills from fully-accredited IRFU coaches in a fun and safe environment.

A secondary teacher writes: "I coach a number of teams in our school. One common problem is getting guys from different clubs to play in the same way and to think and act like a team, not a bunch of individuals. Any thoughts?"

Three NUIG rowers – Alan Martin, Cormac Folan and James Wall – combined with Sean O'Neill from the St. Michael's club to take fourth place in the Heavyweight Men's Four B final in Sunday's Rowing World Cup event in Lucerne. The strong finish places the Irish crew tenth in the overall World Cup standings.

The losers of the first round replay in the Claregalway Hotel SFC between holders Killererin and All-Ireland intermediate champions Moycullen will face Caltra in the qualifiers.
