Galway United will be looking to bounce back from their latest league defeat at the hands of Shamrock Rovers, as they entertain reigning champions Drogheda United in Terryland Park this Friday.

Two own-goals inside the first seven minutes by Seamus Conneely and Alan Keane ended this game as a spectacle, as Shamrock Rovers clinched maximum points from a sorry Galway United.

The three NUIG rowers who will be travelling to the Olympic Games in Beijing finished in eleventh position in Poland last weekend – at the final World Cup event of the season.

Despite being pleased with his side's progression to another provincial final, Galway boss Liam Sammon was the first to admit that his side will have to improve significantly if they are to lift the Connacht title next month.
