I would like to thank you for the opportunity to air my clearly unpopular views, and indeed thank those thoughtful respondents from last week (29 August). The debate about religion and abortion could go on 'ad infinitum' and it will not be settled here, however there are some points of this debate to be clarified.

Dear Editor,
The late, great Peter Sellers did a radio sketch many years ago in which, as a plummy-voiced politician, he delivered a speech to a conference lasting 15 minutes. His phrasing and articulation were perfect - it was only at the very end that you realised he had said absolutely nothing at all, but had said it well.
 
More scrutiny of groups engaged in crisis pregnancy counselling

While there is much commentary in the media in recent days in relation to crisis pregnancy counselling agencies, it should be noted that Galway For Life has repeatedly sought to raise awareness regarding the need for more scrutiny of certain organisations engaged in such work.
