The current Israeli assault on Gaza, which has killed more than one hundred Palestinians, the vast majority of them innocent civilians, and the continued Israeli blockade of Gaza, are war crimes under international law.

If we were to believe Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern then Treasa Ní Cheanabháin bore 'personal responsibility' (Irish Times 8 February) for not being allowed to leave Gaza and enter Egypt, presumably because she had entered Gaza 'illegally', as reported by RTÉ.
