Where the Wild Beasts roam

UK indie sensations Wild Beasts play Strange Brew in the Roisin Dubh on Thursday 25 March, where they'll be joined by Irish wunderkinds Villagers. Leeds based Wild Beasts' breezy pop sound and lead singer Hayden Thorpe's theatrical falsetto (both of which were akin to the style of fellow Brit Mika) earned the group a dedicated following around the UK, leading them to signing with Domino Records in 2007.

Hailed as "The poetic soul of Ireland" by John Spillane and as a man whose "voice always, always brings me into the song" by Christy Moore, popular singer songwriter Ger Wolfe plays The Crane Bar next Thursday 25 March. With songs like 'The Curra Road' and 'The Lark of Mayfield', Ger Wolfe has been steadily making a name for himself as one of the most respected singer/songwriters in this country.

With the World Cup just around the corner, Irish comic troupe Apres Match are ready to come out of hibernation and play ball. As part of a nationwide tour, Gary Cooke, Risteard Cooper and Barry Murphy play the Town Hall on Friday 30 April. Apres Match first appeared on RTE in 1998 and have since performed sell-out shows throughout the country as well as producing six chart topping DVDs.

The chilled vibes of the Body and Soul area of Electric Picnic make it one of the most popular parts of the yearly boutique festival and this year sees the very first Body & Soul Gathering in the lush surrounds of Ballinlough Castle, Co. Meath on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June.

From humble beginnings Martin Reeves, AKA Krafty Kuts, is now one of the big players on the world’s club scene, djing alongside The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and even the Rolling Stones. Originally inspired by the hip-hop and electro sounds that were rocking his world, Martin first stepped behind a pair of decks in the late 90s when he entered a DJ competition.

Trading Faces take on Oliver and West Side Story

Trading Faces Stage School present 'Oliver & West Side Story' at the Town Hall Theatre from Monday 29 March to Thursday 1 April. The shows will feature junior and senior performers from the school, with the junior performers taking on Oliver while the senior performers will take on 'West Side Story' with the shows featuring much loved numbers like 'Food Glorious Food', 'Got to Pick a Pocket', 'Officer Krupke' and 'Tonight'.

The Regina Rogers School of Ballet presents a Gala Concert Programme in the Town Hall Theatre this Sunday, 21 March at 3pm and 8pm. This colourful and entertaining programme will feature both junior and senior dancers, three of whom are members of the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company.

Leigh Arnold, Claire Tully, Alan Shortt and Alan Devine star in 'My First Time', which runs at the Town Hall Theatre from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 March. In 1998 a website was created allowing people to anonymously share their own true stories about their 'First Times'. The website became an instant phenomenon and now over 70,000 stories have poured in from around the globe.

IFTA winning director Ken Wardrop has started a nationwide search for the perfect characters for his new feature film. Wardrop drew national and international acclaim in the last year for his wonderful documentary 'His & Hers', which took the Audience Award at this year's Dublin Film Festival, was a huge hit at Sundance and won Best Irish Feature at last summer's Galway Film Fleadh
