Chamber spearheads new exporting process

As part of Galway Chamber's continuing effort to make Galway the leading edge to do business, they have recently introduced an online documentation certification service making it easier and quicker for exporters to have their documents processed.

Failte Ireland to hold further tax seminars

Failte Ireland West has announced that it is to host two detailed information seminars in the region in the coming weeks to explain to tourism operators and potential investors in the area the benefits available from the recently launched Mid-Shannon Tourism Infrastructure Investment Scheme. The seminars will take place in the Shannon Oaks Hotel, Portumna on Thursday 11 September at 4.30 pm, and in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon on Tuesday 16 September, also at 4.30pm.

 
Aer Arann gets Knock route

Aer Arann has been awarded the Knock to Dublin public service route. In accordance with PSO route requirements Aer Arann will provide a daily early morning service from Knock to Dublin and an evening return service, beginning on 1 October 2008.

Health and safety course

A Health and Safety course for employers run by Galway Chamber will begin this Thursday, 4 September. Taking place from 9.30am to 5pm at Sim2Learn in Ballybrit, the course costs €110 for HPSU Skillnet members and €140 for non-members.

 
Benefits from Brussels

Spiddal native, MEP Sean O Neachtain, has said the Irish government should set up a dedicated information centre in Brussels to advise Irish businesses, universities and local authorities as to how they can draw down Research, Technology and Development Grants from the EU between now and 2013. The value of these RTD grants available is €55 billion.

 
Limited spaces remain at Arrabawn

The Arrabawn Centre in Oranmore is at an advanced stage of construction and on target for completion before the end of 2009. Lidl was announced as the anchor tenant in late April and the centre has since seen a huge interest from local and national retailers and businesses.
