Pop rock band Hogan play The Backstage Bar at Monroe’s Live on Thursday, 28 April.
Hogan have been making waves across the world with their infectious songs and crazy live performances. Their summer hit ‘Gimme Love’ hit the iTunes charts in Ireland at No.1. The hit group from Tullamore followed this with the very catchy song ‘Closer’ in autumn which got to No.9 on the charts. They were also featured as ‘98fm Artist of the Month’ along with having two UTV songs of the month and four Today FM songs of the week.
Hogan have recently recorded their second album with top producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers) and have recently worked in the studio with German producers Bernd Wendlandt (Silbermond) and Jose Alvarez Brill (Wolfsheim) on tracks for future release. They have headlined shows at Germany’s Dithmarscher Rock festival, Hameln’s Pflasterfest, Chaoyang pop festival and Strawberry Festival in Beijing, and the Midi Festival in Shanghai. Germany has become the band’s new home in the last 12 months, where they have been playing many clubs, festivals and events throughout the country including Berlin Fashion Week after-show party. With a new album recorded, the future is exciting in Germany and beyond.
Hot Press said of the band, “Hogan have extraordinary talent and they will go far”, while Ireland on Sunday wrote, “Hogan’s single is superb – one of, if not, the best Irish single I’ve heard this year”.
Doors are open at 10pm with the show on in the BackStage Bar. Tickets are €5 on the door.
