Taking a look at the new apartments in phase one of the exciting new Millrace retirement village in Ballinasloe on Saturday is Amy Johnson of DNG Estate Agents with perspective buyers Timmy Lennon and Brian Kelly from Athlone. Pic TK.

Investors and potential residents turned out in their numbers last weekend for the launch of Millrace Retirement Village on Bridge Street, Ballinasloe. The four show apartments gave launch-goers a first glimpse of the quality design and finish available in this village of 46 two-bedroom apartments and on-site nursing home.

Speaking at the launch, Vincent Earls of Earls Construction Ltd said, "It's the complete package that is appealing to people. Our focus has been on building a living village. From the location to the design, build and luxury fit-out, the emphasis has been on creating quality homes supported by first class care facilities."

Its central location on Bridge Street sets Millrace Village apart and allows residents easy access to Ballinasloe's shops, restaurants and many amenities. The architecturally designed apartments are luxuriously fitted out by interior design group, The Cotton Box Ltd, and each is generously proportioned with two-bedrooms (one of which is an en suite), fitted kitchen, energy efficient heating and private balcony or terrace. The landscaped village is entirely wheelchair accessible and includes plentiful parking for both residents and visitors.

With Millrace Nursing Home and Residents' Club on-site, apartment residents have access to shared lounge areas and meals and laundry services by arrangement. Religious services can also be provided on-site. All apartments include a 24-hour Response System linked to the on-site nursing home, providing residents with the security of on-call facilities when necessary.
