Padraig Greaney Auctioneers celebrated a very successful first year in business in 2006, having enjoyed a bumper year in the second-hand home and new-home market.

2742.jpgRecord prices were achieved for properties and sites sold in the Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Ballindereen and Oranmore areas.

Mr Greaney said, "The housing market remains in very good health. Second hand homes in prime locations have indeed increased by 20 per cent as per market reports and new houses are running at an average of 15 per cent increase.

"Confidence in the Irish property market remains high particularly with continued population growth."
