Nightline has introduced Parcel Motel to three locations in Galway, allowing consumers to have goods ordered online delivered to a location that is convenient for them to collect at any time.
The new units are located at Topaz Newcastle Service Station, Kearney’s Texaco, Lough Atalia Road and Topaz College Road.
To use the Nightline Parcel Motel service, consumers are first required to set up an account online at www.parcelmotel.com, where they select the unit location most convenient to them.
Then when purchasing goods online, the consumer enters the Nightline Parcel Motel address rather than their home address. Nightline will deliver the consumer’s goods to their chosen Parcel Motel and the consumer will receive a text message containing a unique code, advising them that their parcel is ready for collection.
When ordering from UK retailers that offer free delivery to UK shoppers or that don’t offer delivery to Ireland, shoppers can enter Nightline’s Belfast address, ensuring delivery of the items to their local Parcel Motel.
“The essence of what we are doing with the roll-out of Parcel Motel is making online shopping easier and cheaper for consumers,” said Nightline CEO John Tuohy.
“Consumers, who use the service when making a purchase online from retailers here or in the UK, can now pick up their goods at a unit convenient to them and at a time that suits their schedules.
“Given the number of working people who shop online but don’t want to arrange their working day around waiting for a delivery, we have no doubt Parcel Motel will be an extremely popular service in Galway,” he said.
