I was blessed to be at our parish mass in Knocknacarra recently when the parish celebrated the 147 children that had been baptised in our parish over the past year. It was a moving ceremony celebrated by our wonderful, thoughtful Fr. Tadgh. It was so beautiful to see all the happy parents, families and their children approaching the altar and lighting their baptism candles of light and hope again. Sometimes at the start of a new year or a new beginning, we are afraid to wish or pray for good things to happen to us or to show gratitude for the good things in our lives or to go after good things for ourselves, our families and our friends.
