Volkswagen is to provide sponsorship support to the Olympic Council of Ireland and members of Ireland’s Olympic Games squad during the build-up to their participation in the 2008 Olympic Games in Bejing and throughout the period of their stay in China.
The plan will see Volkswagen in Ireland become the exclusive provider of car and mini bus team transport to Ireland’s Olympic team, trainers and officials during the preparation period leading up to the 2008 games and for their exclusive use whilst participating at the Olympic Games in Beijing. The arrangement was made possible in part by Volkswagen’s involvement as a major sponsor of the 2008 Olympic Games due to their long-standing presence in China as one of that country’s leading car manufacturers. |
