SEAT's Martorell production plant in Spain has celebrated its 15th anniversary. Initially designed for the production of 1,500 vehicles per day, the plant has now exceeded 2,000 units daily. The current strength of the workforce stands at 8,000 employees and covers a total surface area of almost three million square metres - the equivalent of 400 football fields.

Over the past year, thanks to the implementation of the SEAT Excellence Program (SEP), the company has set up the SEAT production system in its manufacturing process. This is an innovative system aimed, amongst other things, at reducing production times for future SEAT models by 30 per cent, which converts Martorell into one of the most efficient production plants in Europe.
