Renault Ireland has announced details for their innovative Scenic Express van. Derived from the Grand Scenic passenger car, this is the latest addition to the Renault Commercial vehicle range and is ideally suited to both city life and country roads.
The Scenic Express has a wide, flat and long loading area plus a low tailgate sill to allow for easier access. It also has convenient side access through the rear passenger doors. The Scenic Express van is driver-focused with long list of equipment that includes manual air conditioning, height adjustable driver seat, front electric windows, 4 x15w single CD/radio stereo, remote central locking with keyless entry, full sized spare wheel, electric heated and operated door mirrors and 'Smart' windscreen wipers. Scenic Express also has an abundance of stowage areas with under-seat drawers, under floor storage and a spacious cooled glove box, not to mention the large front door storage areas. The Scenic Express load space is its biggest asset, as it is wide and easy to use. It has a low loading height for those awkward heavy loads through a wide and tall tailgate. The load space is a wide flat-carpeted area also accessible through the rear doors and has a highly usable space of 2.24 cubic metres and a max payload of 575kg.With an overall load length of 1.8m, a width of 1m and a height of 788mm, the Scenic Express is a highly capable van. It has four load bearing anchorage points and a cargo safety net to secure awkward or bulky loads. Safety is always a priority on Renault vehicles and the Scenic Express is no exception, as it is based on the five star Euro NCAP rated passenger car and carries over the same level of safety equipment, making it one of the safest places to be on the road. If the unexpected happens, Scenic Express can compensate and help you maintain control of the vehicle with ABS brakes and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution). It is also fitted with the Renault SRP (System for Restraint and Protection), combining the restraint system with six airbags, giving passenger and driver optimum protection.
