The chiefs at PSA Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Motors Corporation have signed a deal to produce Peugeot, Citroen and Mitsubishi vehicles in Russia. This is in response to the growth of the Russian market, particularly of SUVs and mid-range vehicles, which represent over 50 per cent of sales in Russia.
The new assembly plant will produce mid-range SUVs for Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Citroen brands as well as medium size Peugeot and Citroen vehicles. It will have a capacity of 160,000 vehicles per annum. Production is currently planned for start up in 2011.
