Ms Eithne Kelly from Dun Laoghaire in Dublin won't have to think about buying tyres for the next 20 years. Eithne was the first top prize winner in Continental's Tyres For Life campaign. Each winner of the free tyres for 20 years prize will receive a special Continental Tyres Passport which will entitle them to up to four tyres every two years for 20 years, and a fifth tyre for punctures or accidental damage. In addition to free tyres for the next 20 years, motorists can win: Advanced driving lessons with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). The IAM advanced driving course teaches drivers a range of skills that complement their driving knowledge improving safety and all round driving ability. A number of insurance companies provide significant premium discounts for drivers who have passed their advanced test. ContiComfortKits ? the all in one pack that seals punctures at the side of the road at the touch of a button: a key safety plus for female motorists who, even if they have a roadside assistance service, can be assured that in the event of a puncture, they can be back on the road in no time. Commenting on her win, Eithne said: "I am delighted to win this prize because I have never won anything in my life! Tyres are not something that I think about everyday, but I know they are important for safety. It is just so wonderful that, thanks to Continental, I won't have to worry about buying any tyres for 20 years." Paddy Murphy, General Manager of Continental Tyres in Ireland said: "Road safety is the underlying element to our Tyres for Life campaign. Motorists need to realise that tyres are a car's only contact with the road, so they play a crucial part in ensuring you and your family's safety. We hope our Tyres for Life campaign will help to highlight the importance of tyres in the road safety equation. As winter sets in, make sure your tread depth is 3mm or above to give safer braking and cornering in wet conditions." The promotion is open to all Irish motorists with privately owned cars and full details of entry are available at any Advance Pitstop outlet or on a special website: www.tyresforlife.ie. |
