![]() The Mazda3 came out on top in terms of reliability in the 2008 Autodialed TÜV Report. After analysing seven million main inspections from 194 different models for over 160 criteria, including lights, brakes, chassis, exhaust and oil-loss, the Mazda3 came in first with almost no defects, followed by Mazda2 in the German Autodialed TÜV Report 2008. This result gives the Mazda brand the coveted 'Golden Badge' award from Germany's Technical Inspection Agency for the first time. TÜV results are vital when it comes to purchasing a used car, as they give a clear picture of the quality and condition of vehicles of a certain age. And Mazda came out the clear winner this year. In the category for vehicles two to three years old, Mazda3 prevailed with a defect quota of only 1.2 per cent, followed closely by the Mazda2 with only 1.4 per cent. Coming in third and fourth were the VW Golf and Ford Fusion (2.2% each), and the Honda Jazz (2.3%). |
