Ford has announced the prices for the new Focus models, which have arrived at dealers this week. The starting prices is €19,565 before delivery charges, the same as the starting price for the older model that it replaces. Ford is now including the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) safety system as a standard item across range. Ford claims the cost of supplying ESP as an option for a car in the Focus segment would be in the region of €500. ![]() Ford has released the pricing for the new Focus, which lands at dealers across the country this week. Prices start at €19,565 before delivery charges, which is unchanged from the previous model. The range comprises 46 models, from the entry-level Focus Freedom to the luxury Ghia and sporty Titanium series. The new-look Focus features a similar design style that was first revealed with the S-MAX and new Mondeo. The addition of ESP as standard is a first in its class and is part of Ford's commitment to making this key safety enhancement as standard across its range of family cars. ESP is already standard on C-MAX, Mondeo, S-MAX, Galaxy and the Transit van. The new Focus comes with Ford's Easyfuel capless refuelling that prevents mis-fuelling; Ford's Intelligent Protection System (IPS) with six airbags, and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), as standard across the range, as does power front windows, remote central locking and full-size spare wheel. A range of new optional features include: on/off 'Ford Power' button, a tyre deflation detection system, LED rear lamps, DAB radio, and a premium centre console with a 230-volt power socket. Ford claims that the new Focus engines are among the best performing in their class with a special fuel efficient and clean engine line-up in which every Focus 1.6-litre TDCi variant will achieve a sub-120g/km CO2 classification. The Focus Style features quick clear heated windscreen, power heated door mirrors, remote central locking, remote in-car entertainment, aluminium door handles and a silver centre stack. The Zetec range is available for a further €2,185, which includes air conditioning, sport design wheels, fog lamps, trip computer, and sports seats and suspension. With cruise control, alloy wheels and power rear windows among an array of standard features, the Ghia series starts with the new 1.6Ti-VCT engine from €25,045, while the Titanium, with the same engine, sports partial leather seats and the high-end SONY 6-CD OPTIONAL system for €24,450. |
