The new Citroen C4 Picasso hits the Irish market this week. This latest
arrival to the compact MPV market is claimed to be crammed with unique
features. This spacious, practical and comfortable new 7-seat people carrier will
complement Citroen's popular existing MPV line-up. The 7-seat C4
Picasso sets new standards in its class with an original seat-folding
design that allows quick and easy reconfiguration, an imaginative dash
lay-out which creates an uncluttered look in the front, while Citroen
claims that premier levels of refinement and comfort are ensured by the
use of high quality trim materials and pneumatic rear suspension. With a huge panoramic windscreen and expansive glazed area, the C4 Picasso gives impressive visibility for all occupants regardless of which seat they are in. The wide-angle panoramic windscreen doubles vertical visibility at the front of the vehicle from the 35? of a conventional MPV to an impressive 70?. A combination of the largest sunroof and side windows in the class, as well as specially designed narrow windscreen pillars, gives the C4 Picasso the largest glazed area of any compact MPV. When it comes to the finer details, the C4 Picasso further sets itself apart from its rivals - The Citroen C4 Picasso has some striking and unique features. Over 30 different light sources demonstrate the innovative use of interior lighting systems; an integrated air quality sensor contributes to the pleasant ambience on-board; while a parking space measurement system, the first on the market, exemplifies the C4 Picasso's use of advanced technology. The 7 seat C4 Picasso has been awarded a five star safety rating by EuroNCAP, a standard that meets the best of the competition. The C4 Picasso has scored 35 points out of 37 for adult occupant protection, to lead the compact MPV class for safety. With the introduction of the C4 Picasso, Citroen is offering compact MPV buyers a choice of two very different and distinctive styles and interior configurations, the C4 Picasso's seven seats complementing the five seats of the Xsara Picasso, a model that will continue to form part of the Citroen line-up. Citroen believes that the new C4 Picasso is a fresh alternative for customers looking for a versatile family car. Standard equipment includes ESP with ASR Traction Control, ABS with EBD and EBA, 7 airbags (including driver's knee airbag), electronic parking brake, hill start assist, wide-angle panoramic windscreen, cruise control with speed limiter, remote central locking, electric front windows and heated electric door mirrors.
