Have you spotted the fastest car in the world zooming around Galway yet? If not, you should keep your eyes peeled for the Bugatti Veyron, the €1.2 million ultra-exclusive car sure to set pulses racing. The car boasts 1,001-horse power and it can achieve a top speed of 407.5 km/h. It has an electric safety system to prevent the car reaching top speeds and causing damage to the tyres. If the car were driven in high speed, it would only take 12 minutes for the fuel tank to empty after covering a distance of 80 kilometres. Niall Cunningham of Cunningham Higgins Specialist Cars in Galway sold the most expensive and most powerful production car in the world last month after a regular client of the car dealer's ordered it in top secret. Niall has, so far, kept the identity of the buyer a secret and refuses to give a clue as to who the mystery person with a penchant for fast and pricey cars could be. So next time you are crossing the road, make sure to look both ways for the Bugatti. Blink and you'll miss it. |
