Bridgestone Ireland has won an exclusive three-year contract to supply tyres to Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus. The contract, which was awarded to Bridgestone after a competitive tender process, is the largest commercial tyre supply contract in Ireland, valued at approximately €3 million per annum.

Bridgestone will supply tyres for around 2,700 buses between Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus. The tyres will be fitted by Bridgestone personnel based in the bus company's 11 depots around Ireland. In addition, technical and logistical support will be provided by Bridgestone personnel based at its headquarters in Balbriggan, County Dublin. Two Bridgestone mobile van units will service and monitor school buses throughout the country.

The tyres supplied for the buses in the contract will be a mixture of new and retreaded tyres and they will be supplied under a price per kilometre arrangement. Approximately 30,000 tyres will be supplied during the contract period.
