Monroe’s Live have scooped the IMRO Award for Connacht Best Live Music Venue 2015 at the IMRO Awards in Dublin.
Proprietors Gary and Rob Monroe are delighted to have won the prestigious award, which recognises the venue’s commitment to providing the core elements that make for a great live music venue – atmosphere, sound and lighting, staging, diversity of programming and importantly, the staff and management.
IMRO members and the public voted for Monroe’s Live to win in the Connacht Best Live Music Venue category, which saw them up against other venues in the region including the Roisin Dubh, Galway, Matt Molloy’s, Westport, The Dock Theatre, Leitrim and Hawks Well Theatre, Sligo.
Monroe’s Live, which has just celebrated its six year anniversary, also holds an IMRO Award for National Live Music Venue for 2012 and the title of Best of Galway Pub Award for the last three years.
Gary Monroe said, “We are delighted to have won another IMRO! I’d like to thank all our staff for their dedication and passion and everyone that has supported us over the years.”
Monroe’s Live regularly hosts national and international acts across two stages
