After an acid pop trend in 2012, the look for spring 2013 is a return to calm for Yves Saint Laurent.
The colours of nature provided the inspiration for Make-up Creative Director Lloyd Simmonds this season and the new collection features a palette of mineral and crystalline colours. Think amethyst eyes, ruby lips and jade nails.
For eyes, the new Pure Chromatics Y Facettes Palette (RRP €57) features intense green, iridescent rose, smoky violet and metallic blue, which can be used either dry or wet for an intense look. The shadows can also be used as an eyeliner when applied with a fine brush.
The Yves Saint Laurent Spring Collection is available from YSL Counters, Brown Thomas and Debenhams.
