Mazda Motor Ireland has announced a strong sales resurgence which has seen the brand grow at a rate faster than ever before. In Ireland the sales performance has seen an impressive 35 per cent increase in sales versus July 2014 and July 2015 was the second biggest sales month for the brand since March 2008.
With growth of 21 per cent year to date, Mazda are enjoying an increase in sales off the back of the launch of five new model lines including the all new Mazda2, all new Mazda CX-3, 2015 Mazda CX-5, 2015 Mazda6 and the 4th generation Mazda MX-5. The all-new product line-up’s winning combination of lightweight and efficient SKYACTIV Technology and stunning KODO – Soul of Motion designs have catapulted Mazda into the fast lane in terms of both sales and profits.
Globally, Mazda has just announced a second consecutive year of record profits and a 5 per cent increase in sales to almost 1.4million vehicles. In Europe, Mazda has seen sales grow by 14 per cent year on year for its second quarter as the Japanese brand continued to outperform the overall European market, which recorded an 8.8 per cent rise in sales.
To reflect the growth of the brand in Ireland, the company’s retailer network is undergoing a redesign to deliver a more premium look. All existing and new retailers will adopt a new visual identity by April 2016 which will create a welcoming and interactive environment where the cars will be the stars and prospective buyers are placed at the forefront of the purchasing process. Customers will benefit from an enhanced customer service to ensure that their motoring needs are at the heart of the experience and that they are provided with the best option to suit their requirements.
In order to capitalise on the new products and development of the retailer network, Mazda Motor Ireland are taking on five new people in key roles which will enable the company to grow further and offer an industry leading customer service. Increasing the team in after sales, marketing and franchising will allow Mazda to make the jump from a franchise offering value for money cars to a brand offering aspirational vehicles and one which is famous for challenging convention to make things better.
Commenting on the growth announcement, Tony Howarth, Managing Director, Mazda Ireland said; “I am delighted to see the Mazda brand enjoy 35 per cent growth in July over 2014. Our new product launches such as the all new Mazda CX-3 and the all new Mazda2 fuel our impressive growth. Our stunning Kodo design and SKYACTIV technologies are resonating well with the Irish public. With an entirely new product range, increased and upgraded retail network and an attitude that puts customers first, I am confident that the Mazda brand is about to reassert itself in Ireland as one of the most desirable on the market and one that should never be overlooked. Our continued growth has no sign of slowing down any time soon and the hotly anticipated new-generation Mazda MX-5 arrives in Ireland this autumn.
